Because classic never goes out of style, we could think of no better way to open the 2016-17 Finke Season!  In response to growing entertainment requests, Gracie and Lacy began touring company, Swing St. Louis, in 1997.  Gracie and Lacy shows combine the sisters' love for tight harmony, retro fashion, tap dance, and the classic music of the WWII / Big Band Era.  The show stands alone as a unique creation as many of the vintage inspired costumes are designed by Lacy and complimented by Gracie’s original choreography.  They’re coming back, third time’s a charm!

Gerry Tritz took up juggling and magic in 1991 and hasn’t turned back. By the end of the 1990s, he had won competitions at various juggling festivals and started performing regularly. His show incorporates magic, juggling, comedy and audience participation.  Performing everything from birthday parties to gubernatorial inauguration parties, Gerry’s also performed twice at the Missouri Governor’s Mansion at its annual Easter egg hunt. His sometimes silly style and always family-friendly shows make him a hit with kids and adults alike.

For the Finke theatre in 2017, Victor and Penny will expanding their “Antique Pop” style and perform as a quartet adding percussion and ukelele, guitar, upright bass and drums. Every once in a while something special emerges onto the music scene and with the arrival of The Cat's Pajamas, there is no doubt that this explosive 5-man vocal band is taking the world by storm.  Forged out of funky beats and a strong a cappella background, The Cat's Pajamas have toured internationally for the past 11 years wowing hundreds of thousands around the globe giving audiences the performance of a lifetime each night they take the stage.

The group got their start when they competed in the national OREO Cookie Jingle Competition which was hosted by Randy Jackson. They were selected as one of the top 10 finalists in the entire country and appeared briefly on the Oprah Winfrey Show.  They also competed in America's Got Talent in New York City and also rocked out on FOX's Next Great American Band where they proved that voices can in fact replicate a band when they finished in the top 30 groups out of a field of over 14,000. They have received high praise from Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Holland America and Norwegian Cruise Lines and have established a reputation as being one of the top acts not just on the high seas but anywhere in the world. They recently won the Chicago region of the Harmony Sweepstakes, performed for two years at the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre in Branson, MO, as well as touring Performing Arts Centers, Casinos, High Schools and Colleges throughout the US.

The Cat's Pajamas' show consist of popular songs from over the past 60 years.  This highly energetic and interactive show will have you toe tappin' and singing along with all the popular songs you remember from back when music was good!

Finish the season with us during the weekend of our annual community play! Featuring local talent by The Finke Players, there are always laughter-filled surprises by your uninhibited neighbors on the Finke stage. This year's show features the melodrama "Dogsbreath Devereaux, The Dastardly Doctor or ... Nurses! Foiled Again" and promises to be a fun experience for all!

Dogsbreath Devereaux, MD, plots to wed and do away with the wealthy widow Lotta Cash so he can inherit her fortune and her late husband's clinic. He enlists the aid of the nasty nurse, Hilda Hatchet, and promises to marry her once he disposes of Lotta. Problems arise when the insanely jealous Hilda catches Dogsbreath flirting with Wendy March, the heroine of our show. It seems only our hero, Dr Phil Good, can save Wendy and the unsuspecting Lotta Cash from certain death!
